Topics include personal and social values, the nature of moral reasoning, and ways to resolve conflicts between values. Readings from philosophers such as Plato, Aristotle, Locke and Mill. A PHI 114Y is the oral discourse version of A PHI 114 in which students will attend a weekly discussion section; only one may be taken for credit.
