Diploma Re-order

While staff in the Registrar’s Office are not physically present in the office, you may still place orders for replacement diplomas. Please be advised that orders with a graduation date prior to 2000 will take longer to process at this time.

We are taking every reasonable step to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus to protect the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and families.

Diploma Re-Order Instructions

Students may order replacement diplomas for $25 each. Students with holds on their account will be unable to purchase a replacement diploma until their hold has been removed. All orders with holds will be canceled and a new request must be submitted once the hold is removed. Third party diploma orders will only be accepted with written consent of the student.

Replacement diplomas display the original date of graduation and the signatures of the officials at that time. The exception being conferral dates prior to December 31st, 2003, which display the signatures of officials as of December 31st, 2003.

Name Changes:

When completing a diploma re-order, the Registrar's Office uses the information last recorded on your student record. If your name has changed and you would like your new name to appear on your diploma, you must submit an official name change form accompanied by two forms of identification. The name change form can be found on the Registrar's Website: www.albany.edu/registrar/forms.php

Verify your student information:

Students in attendance as of Fall 2001 have access to their MyUAlbany account. In the student portal, you can verify the information that we have on record, add a degree name and you can update your address information. If you have forgotten your user name and password, contact IT Helpdesk at 518-442-3700.


Your diploma will be mailed to the address that you provide on this request. Please be aware that expedited shipping (e.g., next day, 2 day, etc.) cannot be to a P.O. Box. Only the USPS Mail option is available for delivery to a P.O. Box. If there is a problem completing your order, you will be notified via email. Diplomas will be shipped in 2-3 weeks after the approval of your request.

Processing of diplomas may take 2 to 3 business days. Expedited shipping begins once diploma requests have been processed and sent to our vendor.
