This course serves two audiences: K-12 teachers seeking to develop their online teaching skills, and the parents of their students who wish to learn more about how effective online education differs from a traditional classroom experience. The course aims to provide K-12 teachers accustomed to teaching in a traditional classroom setting with a basic introduction to online learning that they can use to adapt immediately to changes in education caused by the COVID-19 crisis. New York State-licensed teachers who complete this course with satisfactory grade receive 15 hours of CTLE credit. All persons completing the course with a satisfactory grade receive a certificate.
