The following certification deadlines are only for submission to the University, not to the State Education Department. * January 2 for December graduates. * June 1 for May graduates. * September 1 for August graduates. If you submit your recommendation request by the dates mentioned above, your information will be forwarded to NY State Education Department within 30 days if it is complete. Please check your status online through your TEACH account at any time. We process certification recommendation requests only in 3 cycles - immediately after the deadlines. If your recommendation request is received beyond the published deadline, it will be delayed and may be processed with the recommendation requests received for the next processing cycle.
